- CsHitman, on 11/18/2008, -3/+826) Steve Jobs will wear something besides a black turtleneck and blue jeans.
- CoreyTamas, on 11/19/2008, -4/+2You're right about the "not true" part, but I don't think anyone ever actually thought that was a credible rumor.
- cowsgonemadd3, on 11/19/2008, -3/+1Stop beating down his cool guy clothes....
- themastersb, on 11/19/2008, -3/+1I would have liked to have seen the iPhone shuffle...
- tux11, on 11/19/2008, -0/+0i would have like that too, but no screen?
- usbcd36, on 11/19/2008, -2/+0He once wore a black buttondown instead of a black turtleneck.
- reformation, on 11/19/2008, -2/+1Your joke doesn't work because that was never a rumour
- digmystuff, on 11/18/2008, -6/+327) The iPhone cannot tether.

- WickEd101, on 11/19/2008, -1/+8Yes...that's exactly what he said by saying it is a rumor that did not come true.
- jeepsterboy, on 11/19/2008, -1/+3hence the reason digmystuff labled it as "rumor"
- megamod, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1Rumors that never came true...shouldn't that be in future tense then?
"The iPhone will never tether" ?
- kelchm, on 11/18/2008, -13/+6sure it can.
- Zuwxiv, on 11/18/2008, -6/+408) New iTunes visualization is actually just an animation of Steve Jobs punching Bill Gates in the face repeatedly.

- BigDigg55, on 11/19/2008, -4/+2Not me
- subliminalurge, on 11/19/2008, -7/+5Help me out here....
What is the reason for giving a ***** about a tablet?
A tablet is like the worst of both worlds. You've got the bulk of a laptop, combined with the limited usability of a smartphone.
I just don't see the appeal.- Kazbaeden, on 11/19/2008, -0/+2The hope with Apple coming out with a Tablet was/is that they will design a touch/pen-centric UI to accommodate the usability constraints of not having a keyboard.
Personally I use a convertible tablet for taking notes in school. It give me the functionality of a laptop, combined with the versatility of the touch screen/pen digitizer. With the new multitouch functionality in Windows 7, most of the complaints I've had about tablet usability have vanished, and so has my desire to see an Apple tablet.

- spoogieking012, on 11/19/2008, -1/+4it exists. its called the modbook. apple is cool with it and everything.

- julianwan, on 11/19/2008, -3/+14There are 5? Phew I thought there were only 5000
- inputname, on 11/19/2008, -1/+12That was blatantly 10 Apple rumors that never came true, just with five of them not numbered for some retarded reason.
- Zuwxiv, on 11/19/2008, -1/+9Top ten lists are so 2007. We have exactly half the time now.

- 0phatpat0, on 11/19/2008, -4/+2I think that happened after the IIe
THen again, I do have an iphone, so what would I know?
- 0phatpat0, on 11/19/2008, -4/+2I think that happened after the IIe
- Shaggy3, on 11/19/2008, -2/+8The Beatles rumor is NEVER going to go away.
- macslut, on 11/19/2008, -0/+4That's in part because it's likely to happen at some point. Beatles coming to iTunes is like the rumor way back early on that the Beatles would be on CD or Star Wars on DVD. Not much of a rumor...or prediction, just stating what will obviously happen.
The Beatles edition of the iPod seems like a no-brainer for both Apple and the Beatles stakeholders, so that rumor won't die until it actually happens or Apple stops selling iPods.

- Slackersrule, on 11/19/2008, -15/+179) Apple products won't continue to be made of overpriced fail.
- CoreyTamas, on 11/19/2008, -4/+2310. People will stop using "FAIL" as the go-to insult for everything.

- javaroast, on 11/19/2008, -0/+4Overpriced to you. Affordable for me. Lear jets are overpriced.
- ClevelandBrown, on 11/19/2008, -1/+2I own you all.
- kimcheefreak17, on 11/19/2008, -2/+1I really wish #3 came true...
- dylio, on 11/19/2008, -5/+3"Since the rumor, Long has appeared in a ton of “Get a Mac” ads and the campaign still seems to be going strong."
"Long has appeared in a ton of “Get a Mac” ads"
"In a ton of “Get a Mac” ads"
Don't the newest Mac ads criticize Microsoft for advertising and using a campaign to rival Apple's?
Usually 'A ton of ads" means lots of money spent.- alerad, on 11/19/2008, -0/+2Nobody said Apple wasn't hypocritical.
- helloelan, on 11/19/2008, -4/+2Apple will be debuting a tablet. It will be based on iPhone hardware and will run the iPhone OS. Bury me now and Digg me up next summer. It was at once time internally referred to as MediaMac. I hope I don't go to jail for this.
- liambates, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1lmao I'm digging you up because you made me laugh!
- chooky35009, on 11/19/2008, -7/+2Apple will stop being cool one day. Actually that will probably come true.
- rjhomuth, on 11/19/2008, -2/+2Aha! I see no debunking of the yet-to-be-released "iDigg" I've been praying for! It has to be true!
- tyrulz, on 11/19/2008, -6/+1I bought an iMac to use Logic studio 8, While the program is a very professional and powerful music tool I cannot stand my Mac and only tolerate it to use Logic.
- porl, on 11/19/2008, -0/+0i bought a mac for almost the same reason. it was the only laptop i could find with a powered firewire port for my soundcard. i actually mainly use linux on it, including most of my audio work (ardour), but when doing my own stuff i have fallen back to using logic (i used to use it back in it's cross-platform days before apple bought it and said that the 47% (i think the statistic was something close to that, but i can't remember for sure) users that ran it on windows weren't a 'viable marketshare' and made it mac only). i don't hate the mac interface as much as i used to, but i do find i have to use the mouse a hell of a lot more than i usually do in linux (having to click on a visible window to give it focus before i can click the already visible button inside is one example) and still don't like it that much.
watching some of my less computer literate friends using osx, i can see why they like it though. they may do things in a (to me) slow roundabout way, but they generally only need to learn a select few actions that translate consistantly (most of the time) between applications/functions.
if only ardour's midi functionality was finished, i'd have no real need to dual boot anymore :)
ps. anyone know of any other laptops with real powered firewire ports?

- andrewlotta, on 11/19/2008, -4/+3$800 Macbook should have had more attention in the article.
When Apple put the new Macbooks on the apple.com store I went their expecting to see laptops under $1000 but only found them more expensive. - cukko1903, on 11/19/2008, -8/+0

- tjallen, on 11/19/2008, -0/+2With all the diggers who are so apple obsessed, does no one have a connection with someone who works for Apple so that we can finally get an answer on this issue?
- helloelan, on 11/19/2008, -1/+2I TRIED to tell them, but I keep being dugg down...

- JoeOReilly, on 11/22/2008, -0/+1The $800 MacBook thing was a load of crap from day one.
