The standard of proof required to find you liable for copyright infringement depends on which judge you're in front of, and damages can be as high as $150,000 per copyrighted music track.
As a roadmap, we'll use the Jammie Thomas litigation – the nation's only file sharing case to go to trial. We covered the Minnesota federal trial gavel to gavel last year and have a deep understanding of the legal machinations at the heart of peer-to-peer file sharing litigation.
